KARIM BENZEMA WINS BALLON D’OR 2022
Karim Benzema has been announced as the winner of the Ballon D’Or 2022. The French striker has had an incredible year, scoring goals for both club and country. This is Benzema’s first Ballon D’Or win, and he is the first French player to win the award since Zinedine Zidane in 1998. Congratulations, Karim!
Karim Benzema is a French professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish club Real Madrid and the France national team. He has been described as an “elite finisher” by former Real Madrid manager José Mourinho. Benzema was born in the city of Lyon and began his football career with local club Olympique Lyonnais. He scored his first professional goal in February 2004 against Ajaccio. In July 2009, Benzema moved from Lyon to Real Madrid for a fee of €35 million. Benzema has been involved in several controversies throughout his career. In 2010, he was accused of involvement in a sex tape scandal. In 2015, he was convicted of conspiracy to blackmail fellow footballer Mathieu Valbuena over the same incident. Benzema was also investigated, but not charged, in connection with the November 2015 Paris attacks. In 2016, he was accused of being a accomplice to rape. Benzema has denied all of these accusations.
